MEKONG CYCLING TOUR FOR LANDSCAPES

The Mekong River flows through Laos to Cambodia and to Vietnam, and is a major Cambodian national resources. Our 7-day Mekong cycling adventure starts from Phnom Penh, and goes upstream to Koh Dach (a weaving village), Kampong Cham Province, and Kratie to see the Mekong River Dolphin. The tour then goes on to the land of Angkor and Siem Reap.

* BRIEF ITINERARY:Day 1: Phnom Penh – Royal Palace – National Museum – Toul Sleng (No cycling)
Day 2: Phnom Penh – Mekong Islands – Kampong Cham (Cycling 35km)
Day 3: Kampong Cham – Kratie – Mekong Dolphin (Cycling 45km)
Day 4: Kratie – Stung Trang – Kampong Thom (Cycling 75km)
Day 5: Kampong Thom – Sambor Prei Kuk – Siem Reap (45km)
Day 6: Angkor Thom – Bayon – Ta Prohm – Angkor Wat (Cycling 25km)
Day 7: Siem Reap – Floating Villages – Tonle Sap Cruise (Cycling 35km)

Day 1 – Mekong Cycling Tour For Landscapes: Phnom Penh City Tours (No cycling) (-/-/D)

Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport meets and transfer by our local guide to hotel for check in, lunch will be at hotel on your own account. In the city will not all the cycling tour, it not really fun in the busy city like this. We start our tour with guide and A/C vehicle to Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, and visit the Toul Sleng Musuem. Dinner at local restaurant Accommodation: Hotel in Phnom Penh

Day 2 – Mekong Cycling Tour For Landscapes: Cycling 35km Along Mekong Riverside To Kampong Cham (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel we will embark by local boat to Mekong Islands visit the weaving village, and daily life and after lunch we will ride our bikes along the Mekong Riverside to Kampong Cham province. Along the way of this cycling it provides our opportunities for photos; visit the traditional houses, local pagodas, local pharmacies, and school. After cycling of 35km we will continue by vehicle for the rest of the road. Arrival at Kampong Cham, check in at hotel and dinner at local restaurant. Accommodation: Hotel in Kampong Cham

Day 3 – Mekong Cycling Tour For Landscapes: Ride Bikes 45km To Mekong Dolphin From Kratie (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel, our journey will be by vehicle and bikes go through the plantation farm, countryside, robber plantation and forest all the way looks green and beautiful. We will arrive in Kratie at noon time, lunch at local restaurant and then to the cycling tour to visit the Mekong Dolphin which about 45km from town. After visit the dolphin back to Kratie by vehicle. Dinner at local restaurant Accommodation: Hotel in Kratie

Day 4 – Mekong Cycling Tour For Landscapes: Kratie – Kampong Thom (Cycling 75km)(B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel and today we do cycling in the long distance through the riverside and countryside, we stop in Chlong Village to how the farmer plan tobacco and other plants, the journey continues to next villages and cross the Mekong River by ferry which a great experience that you will see all our bikes and car are all together in one ferry with locals crossing the river from one side to other side. Lunch will be provide at local restaurant, we keep riding our bike through another biggest robber plantation in Chamka Leur district, Kampong Cham province then the rest of the road continue by vehicle to Kampong Thom. Day 5 – Mekong Cycling Tour For Landscapes: 45km Biking From Kampong Thom To Sambor Prei Kuk – Siem Reap (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel and transfer by car along the main road, the we ride the bike on the back road to Sambor Prei Kuk temples which are the ruins remain from the pre-angkor period dated in 6th century. Visit all those temples and continue the cycling to nearby villages, lunch in Kampong Thom town, the proceed to Siem Reap by vehicle. On arrival at Siem Reap check in and get refreshment before heading out for dinner.

Day 6 – Mekong Cycling Tour For Landscapes: Angkor Temples – Cycling Tours (Cycling 25km) (B/L/-)

Breakfast at hotel and we do the cycling on the back road differently from other tourist, to visit West Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon Temple, Terrace of Elephant, and Victoria Gate and continue to Ta Nei temple which is hidden in the forest and visit Ta Prohm temple before lunch time. After lunch we ride our bike to one of the small village called Kravan Village to see the daily life, traditional house and most of the villagers are living based on their souvenir products, they make handicrafts and local souvenirs. Return to Siem Reap Accommodation: Hotel in Siem Reap

Day 7 – Mekong Cycling Tour For Landscapes: With 35km Biking To Floating Village In Siem Reap (Cycling 35km) (B/-/-)

Breakfast at hotel, early more at 6:30 we do our cycling tour on the small road along the village to Bakhong Village, visit the orphanages, primary school and ride the boat to visit Kampong Phluk Village, the continue cruising to Chong Kneas village which the most popular floating village in Siem Reap that you can see all things are floating on the water such as houses, schools, hospitals, police station. Return to Siem Reap by bike and free until transfer to airport for departure.
