Day 01. Budget Cambodia – Vietnam Family Trip By Bus: Arrival – Siem Reap

Warmly welcome at Siem Reap International airport, you are met by our guide & driver and then transferred direct to hotel for check in.

Visit to the unique interior brick sculptures of Prasat Kravan, Srah Srang (“The Royal Baths” was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Preah Khan temple, Built by the King Jayavarman VII. Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation.

Visit to the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12 century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.

It is time to visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture.

In the morning, we will visit to Banteay Srey temple, know as Citadel of Women, located 35 kms from Siem Reap city. This trip will allow you to see also the nice Khmer villages.

Visit to Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Keo and Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.

Day 04. Budget Cambodia – Vietnam Family Trip By Bus: Siem Reap – Half Day Boat Trip – Phnom Penh by bus (B)

Breakfast at hotel, today you will enjoy Half day Boat trip on Tonle Sap.

This morning we will enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap lake. This is the largest permanent fresh-water lake in South East Asia and flows into Tonle Sap River, joining the Mekong in Phnom Penh. We will see a fishermen’s “floating village” with floating schools, floating police station, etc. It is same as a big village floating on the lake, and the “village” move from place to place following water levels and current.

Transfer to Siem Reap bus station for departure to Phnom Penh by Joined tourist bus which will take more than 6 hours to arrive in Phnom Penh where they get picked up and transfer to hotel for check in.

Phnom Penh City: Royal Palace Museum

We will visit to the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. Then continue your visit to National Museum.

Visit to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum or S21, was the former Tuol Svay Prey High School. The Khmer Rouge set up a prison

at this site in May 1976, to detain individual accused of opposing the Pol Pot regime, and was Angkar’s premier security institution, the Killing Field of Choeung Ek, and Wat Phnom temples.

The bustling Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This metropolis, contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes, excited by numerous shopping areas and sidewalk cafes. (If time permits) we stroll around the down town to explore the different local ways of life.

Day 07. Budget Cambodia – Vietnam Family Trip By Bus: Saigon Package Tours + Cu Chi Tunnels Travel Packages (B/-/-)

Ho Chi Minh City: Cu Chi Tunnels

Today we spend a half day exploring the captivating Ho Chi Minh City. The most places of interest are located near the town center. We pass by the now-demolished wartime American Embassy on our way to the Reunification Palace. This famous edifice was a former residence of the President of Southern Vietnam until end of April 1975. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. We follow these with a visit to the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum with a wealth of images from the notorious conflicts. The sightseeing ends up with a walk around the retail Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale!

Afternoon: Transfer about 30km north-west of Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi town. Cu Chi tunnels were used as the base from which the Vietnamese mounted their operations of the Tet Offensive in 1968. The incredible underground network in Cu Chi stretched over 200 kilometres and became legendary during the American war. The extensive tunnels have been specially constructed with living areas, weapon factories, filed hospitals, command centres, plus accommodation. Today we have an excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels to visit an exposition hall and a widened section of the tunnels to get a feel of the underground life. There are also possibilities to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range

Day 08. Budget Cambodia – Vietnam Family Trip By Bus: Saigon – Hanoi – Halong (B/-/-)

Step back in time as you fly from the buzzing, modern city of Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi on VN236 (11:30 – 13:30). Upon arrival at Noibai Airport, you’ll be met by our tour guide & transferred to Halong City for Check-in hotel in Halong.

Ha Long Bay: Royal Heritage Cruise

07h45 – 8h30: Our guide and shuttle bus will pick you up at your hotel or private address and then transfer to Halong city. On the haft way, you have a short break around 20 minutes at Hai Duong city where you can experience our hand-made Vietnamese handicraft products such as lacquer wares, paintings, sculptures, embroideries, clothing etc, made by Hai Duong inhabitants and chilren war victims. After that, we go straight to Halong city.

12h30:  Arrive Halong Bay, Welcome aboard with drinks. Checking in and setting sail through the mysterious bay whilst an exquisite lunch is served in a relaxing ambiance.

Our cruise sails amongst natural rock formations of picturesque beauty; boasting views of the UNESCO World Heritage unique seascape of Halong Bay, offering an opportunity to admire a collection of sculpted islets with amazing shapes resembling: Fighting Cock islet, Human heads islet, Swans islet, Toads, Finger islet and Rocky Dog islet.

14h30: Visiting Amazing Cave – One of the most beautiful cave on Bay. Situated in the centre of the UNESCO-declared World Heritage area, the Sung Sôt or Surprise Grotto is on Bo Hòn Island, and is one of the finest and widest grottoes of Ha Long Bay.

16h00: Arrive at Titiov Island, free time for swimming and then do kayaking through Luon cave. Enjoy the exciting feelings of swimming, sunbathing and kayaking among the World Natural Wonder. All make you feel like being in a different world, which likes in your dream.

17h00: Enjoy the complimentary sunset party on the sundeck with local wine and fresh fruits.

At this time, our guide also takes this chance to share more about local people’s living and customs.

17h30:  Join Cooking demonstration.You will be guided by our chef step by step how to make a Vietnamese traditional cuisine. This is a very great chance for you to know about their daily life in Northern of Vietnam and understand more Vietnamese ingredients and its substitution that we use for our cooking class on the boat.

19h30:  Dinner is served in the restaurant. A perfect moment for talking with friends and having a discussion on the next day’s exploration.

21h00:  Relaxing at your cabin or trying squid fishing with the Royal crew, watching a movie, having a drink at the bar, internet access or playing exciting games. Overnight on board.

Day 10. Budget Cambodia – Vietnam Family Trip By: Catba National Park – Monkey (B, L, D)

Cat Ba: Monkey Island Resort 

In this morning, If you like enjoying Ha Long Bay’s sunrise, please get up early at 6h30 & have some coffee on sundeck.

After having breakfast on board, at around 07:30 – 08:18, you will be transferred into a smaller boat or tender to keep cruising to Gia Luan Harbour on Cat Ba island.

From here, our bus will take you to the National Park which is home to 32 different types of mammals and more than 2000 species of flora. Take a short trek through the forest and climb up the Ngu Lam Mountain . From the peak of the mountain you can see the whole landscapes of Cat Ba Island.

Later on, at around 12:00 AM, our guide will escort you to Beo Harbour by a car transfer and get on boat for  Monkey Island. Upon arrival, you will have lunch then free time for kayaking and swimming.

And you have one night in Bungalow and admired thousand stars at night.

12:00 PM: Arrive Halong Habour & get on bus back to Hanoi.

From your hotel, we take you to visit Ho Chi Minh complex, walking around Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho, President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house – where Ho lived on and off from 1958 to 1969… The next place is One Pillar Pagoda a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square pond. Leave One Pillar Pagoda for the Temple of Literature the first college of Viet Nam dedicated to Confucian. Back to Hoan Kiem Lake and have a stopover with Ngoc Son Temple then enjoy Cyclo tour around the Old Quarter Streets.

Afternoon: Free time by your own for leisure & shopping. After having breakfast, you’ll be free on your own to discover travel sites in Hanoi
